About
I am a Therapist and have been providing mental health services for 2 years in outpatient and in home settings. I see Individuals, Groups, Families and I address Adjustment disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorder, and Relationship challenges. My therapeutic stance is collaborative, sensitive, and practical. To me the counseling process begins with a mutual respect, meeting each person, family, or other paired individuals where they are at, to create goals for where they envision themselves in their lives and creating their own unique story. By encompassing a client centered approach, my goal is to provide individuals and families with the autonomy and support that we all need to share our life stories. I am committed to providing a safe, compassionate, and validating environment to encourage and facilitate change and move towards acceptance. I believe in incorporating my client’s favorite hobbies (art, music, crafts, mental & physical exercises) as coping strategies and interventions to provide a therapeutic process that supports self-care, compassion, and healing. I often turn towards play therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients uncover and process how their experiences shape the quality of their lives. I am passionate about working with individuals (ages 5+) who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, social issues, major life transitions and other difficulties. I am also extremely passionate about working with student athletes. I have a deep respect for the therapeutic relationship and love to help individuals and families move towards healthier lives and relationships. Everyone has a story to tell, and I look forward to honoring your stories together as we embark on this journey towards restoring and healing. Outside of counseling I enjoy being a dog mom, hiking, kayaking, baking, and spending time with my family.
