Hi! My name is Laurie and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Louisiana. I received my Master Degree of Social Work from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. I have 17 years of experience working with children and families who have been through traumatic situations such as abuse and neglect. In addition, I have experience working with adults who are experiencing mental and/or behavioral health crises and are in need of intense therapeutic intervention. I enjoy working with individuals who are ready and willing to make a positive change in their lives by utilizing CBT and DBT models of therapy with them. I also enjoy utilizing the Strength-Based and Solution-Focused Models when working with individuals who are desiring to take a dive into their lives and work on goals involving those modalities. I am a firm believer that therapy is beneficial and a positive resource for everyone and should not be marginalized or viewed negatively. I feel everyone should be matched to a therapist who is able to be understanding, caring, and empathetic to their needs, goals, and current direction in life in an unbiased, yet firm and honest manner. I will strive to ensure we work together to develop the goals and skill sets you desire to meet the outcomes you have in mind!
