I believe that anyone can achieve an optimum state of mental and emotional health regardless of environmental influences and/or previous traumatic experiences. I also believe that someone’s negative experiences and difficulties need not define who that person is or determine their human potential. During my 10-years of counseling experience I've chosen to employ an eclectic approach to therapy tailored to meet each individual’s needs and goals with a strong reliance on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and evidence based approaches compatible with best practices and cultural diversity. I hold a Master of Science degree in Psychology, clinical track, focusing on therapy, psychological testing, statistics, and research. Major course work included: physiological, abnormal, and neurological psychology, trauma focused therapy, behavioral and cognitive behavioral psychology, psychopharmacology, psychometrics, statistics, and psychological assessments. As a Licensee of the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists; I abide by the N.B.C.C., A.C.A., and the Oregon licensing board code of ethics.
