Laurie Clemons, MA, LLPC, I received my Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Wayne State University. I have experience working with Children, Adolescents, Adults, Family, and Couple/ Marriages with diverse backgrounds and a wide range of concerns. My client experience and education includes Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Family, and Couples/Marital Issues. Additionally, my passion is to work with couples and families to help each individual talk through problems, explore ways to increase support, and find healthy solutions. I believe in providing a non- judgmental and compassionate atmosphere in which clients can safely explore and work through feelings, thoughts, images and beliefs, conscious or unconscious. I also believe in taking a Humanistic approach which studies the whole person, and the uniqueness of each individual, incorporating Client-Centered, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral techniques. My goal is to help the client develop a stronger, healthier sense of self, as well as access and understand their feelings to help gain self-fulfillment. I provide weekday, evening and weekend appointments. I also provide a Christian perspective for clients who prefer a Christian integration to their counseling.
