I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who is passionate about helping guide my clients through their personal journey towards healing and growth, and ultimately to find their own happiness and inner peace. My approach I know sometimes life can be hard, and it is difficult to seek out help from someone. Often my clients come to me nervous or hesitant to open up, but they notice that after even meeting only one time they feel better. I use a client-centered approach that is tailored to what works best for you. I am comfortable using CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Focused techniques and modalities. My focus I specialize in working with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and trauma. I have several years of experience working with substance use disorders, and with women treating co-occurring disorders. I am very passionate about working with women on issues such as self-esteem, infertility, miscarriage, and postpartum depression. My communication style I do my best to make sure you feel comfortable, and that you feel like you have someone who really cares and understands what you are going through. You do not have to go through it alone! I am here and I want to help you. I feel it is important to find someone you like, that is accessible and easy to get a hold of when you need help. You can become a happier and healthier you! My journey to therapy I have always wanted to work with people and help others. I started out in the social work field and have worked with families in the welfare system, with developmental disorders and in support of their mental health. I am very passionate about working with people and helping them feel better about themselves and their lives. My goals for you I am not part of your journey to tell you what to do or to give you advice. I am here to walk alongside you through ups and downs, help you see other perspectives ,or help move you when you are feeling stuck.
