Hello! My name is Lauren Choi. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California and Texas with over 16 years of experience serving the needs of individuals, families, and children medical and mental health fields. I have worked within a multitude of settings, helping people manage challenges in homes, schools, healthcare, facilities, and in my private practice. I have worked extensively with families, parents, children, teens and young adults, seniors, adults, veterans, and caregivers. I have considerable experience working with a culturally diverse client base.

I have worked with clients from a broad range of concerns including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, grief, and loss, family dynamic distresses, poor communication styles, racial discrimination in the workplace, and emotional abuse. I also helped many people who have experienced physical/sexual trauma or emotional abuse.


My counseling style is very empathetic, mindful, and client-centered. I integrate my kindness, humor, and objectivity to assist and I believe in treating others with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness Practice Rational emotive counseling, Humanistic, Psychodynamic. We will identify them together and use them to create what you want and need in your life. My goal is to help my clients be the best version of themselves and live the best life that is creative and authentic to them.
