About

Hi! I am a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of experience in counseling and therapy. I received most of my education and experience in California but am now living on the gulf coast of Florida. I started out in an outpatient addiction/recovery setting and then worked in community based clinics with children and families in the foster care system. From there I transitioned to outpatient mental health and then to working in a psychiatrict hospital with inpatient and outpatient clients. My working experiences have allowed me to practice with a broad range of clients from different backgrounds and this has taught me so much about the human condition and all the common threads of living life that we share.

My counseling style is compassionate and collaborative. I consider myself to be an open-minded and non-judgmental, caring person and I bring this quality into my professional life as well. My general approach combines client centered, humanistic, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, and other evidenced based methods, attuned to your paritcular needs, lifestyle and stage of development. I love to see how my clients change and progress as they participate in the therapeutic process. I am really looking forward to working with you and being a part of that process!
