About

I am a trained health psychologist. What does being a health psychologist mean? Well, for starters it means that I believe in a holistic approach to mental healthcare. Specifically, I incorporate a mind-body approach into my treatment. I use a mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach and can teach you practical somatic-based skills such as mindfulness, biofeedback, yoga stretching, and diaphragmatic breathing to reduce tension and stress in both your mind and body. Your present state does not have to determine your future well-being. Many individuals have enjoyed successful outcomes with evidence-based treatments and go on to experience confidence, pleasure, and purpose in their lives. While symptom reduction is often a primary concern, collaboratively, we will work to regain your agency and help you to live the life you want to live whether it is through individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, or biofeedback treatment. I treat a variety of mental health issues and focus on tailored treatment based on YOUR specific needs. I coordinate your care with your medical providers to leverage the work we do to promote your overall wellness. My goal is intended to help you (re)build the life you want. I do this in collaboration with you and the goals we work towards. Searching for a provider for your mental health needs can be daunting, tedious, and overwhelming especially with the bombardment of mental health information online and through social media. It is important to become as informed as you can on the type of provider, the credentials that they have, length of and educational experiences, and years in practice. Dr. Gorog spent two years obtaining her Master’s in Clinical Counseling and then went on to obtain her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology which is the highest level of preparation and training a mental health professional can complete offering the most comprehensive mental health treatment and therapy.
