About
Hello! People seek therapy for a variety of reasons, and taking the first step to seek therapy for yourself is very commendable. Whether you're managing loneliness and sadness, stress and anxiety, conflict within relationships, or adjusting to some of the many challenges of life, coming to therapy is the first step towards growth and change. I take the approach that our past experiences and relationships shape the way that we relate to people and challenges in the present. Through exploring internal thoughts and feelings, past experiences and relationships, and present challenges, I believe that we can work together towards healing and changing patterns that keep us stuck. While we explore the past together, the focus of treatment will always remain on attending to current challenges and needs to create concrete and realistic goals.
I work hard to create a safe and positive environment to explore your thoughts, feelings, and needs. I use a person-centered approach to treatment, meeting you where you're at and going at a pace that feels comfortable. I believe an environment of open communication is always best, and encourage you to explore and share your own needs with the therapy process. My "door" is open to people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, religions, races, and ethnicities.
I am licensed in Pennsylvania and have 5 years of experience in the field. I have worked in residential treatment facility and in-home settings, providing family therapy and individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in family therapy, however have an equal amount of experience working individually with adults and challenges related and not related to parenting. I specialize in treating trauma and attachment, and have a lot of experience working with people suffering from depression, anxiety, and mood disorders.
I look forward to working with you!
