About

With over 18 years of experience, I have the knowledge, experience, and training to help clients through challenging times. Most of my clients are individuals struggling to cope with unresolved grief, trauma, life transitions, including divorce, and significant losses, whether a job, friendship, or the death of a loved one. Many others are desperate to improve current relationships and understand why old patterns tend to repeat. Couples seeking help are locked into emotionally painful practices alienating and polarizing, wanting to be connected but not knowing how to do this. These are all complex dynamics and require exploration of family of origin histories, uncovering limiting beliefs and assumptions formed long ago that adversely impact self-esteem and current relationships. As human beings, we all experience challenges during our lives. The key to successfully negotiating these are understanding, possessing appropriate coping skills, looking at how we might change our thinking and behaviors, and being kind to ourselves. Therapy is collaboration, a relationship between myself and my client(s). Treatment choices are not made in a vacuum or from a particular theoretical model. A strategy that works well for some individuals does not work for others. Thus, my treatment strategies are unique to each individual and combine best practices that are individually tailored to each client's needs.
