About

I have been a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience.. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, BPD and ADHD and have helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. My background also is in school social work. I have advocated for children in their families for over ten years with school related issues.

Whether it be short or long-term, my ability to build rapport and trust enables my clients to work on their issues openly in a collaborative manner. It is important to know that you are the author of your story and it is equally important to define your goals. My approach is to encourage self-discovery and to help provide other perspectives and coping strategies to enhance your life. It's about skill-building and managing new situations using new coping mechanisms, not old maladaptive thoughts and behaviors. I utilize CBT, DBT and systems theory to help my clients work through their presenting issues.
