Hello. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) out of the state of Illinois, with over 10 years of experience. I have worked with clients from all backgrounds, with various concerns such as depression, addiction, codependency, anxiety, insomnia, postpartum, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, trauma, Traumatic Brain Injury, Grief and loss, to name a few.

While I was in school to become a Licensed Clinical Counselor, I did an internship at the renowned Betty Ford Hazelden rehab center. During that time I learned a tremendous amount about addiction and everything else that it entails. Following my internship, I worked at a methadone clinic in downtown Chicago for five years. While working at the methadone clinic, I began to adopt/form my therapy style, known as Motivational Interviewing. This form of therapy helps the client work through ambivalence, bring unhealthy/destructive behaviors to light and work on changing their behavior.

Following my time at the methadone clinic, I moved to North Carolina and began working for the military as a therapist for the Army Substance Abuse program. I worked for the military as a government worker for 9 years, later moving to Fort Campbell, KY. During my time working for the military, my job was focused on helping soldiers with all levels of alcohol and drug use from an isolated incident to full addiction. Some of the other issues that came up frequently were depression, insomnia, survivors guilt, divorce, family issues, sexual assault, grief and loss, post traumatic stress syndrome and Traumatic Brain Injury.

I believe that gaining the clients trust is the first and the most important part of the client-therapist relationship. I will tailor our sessions and treatment plan to meet your unique needs and goals. I believe in always being authentic, warm and honest, and working with you to improve your life.
