This quote from The Princess Bride begins with a nugget of truth- life can certainly be painful. Sometimes it becomes overwhelming, and even cripples our ability to function in our day-to-day life.

As our issues in life persist, they can affect our ability to think or feel. Often times this may result in feeling hopeless. This is not a situation unique to just you- lots of people can relate. In the midst of all that darkness, there is still hope.

That’s where I come in. My name is Laura Kintner, and I have been coming alongside people from all walks of life for over five years. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, but most of all I am a listener, sounding board, and confidant.

I am an integrative therapist, which means my approach involves seeing you as a wholistic and complex person. You aren’t just skin and bones with a brain; you have thoughts, feelings, wants, needs, aspirations, and so much more.

The models of therapy I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Internal Family Systems.

My goal is to help you find your way to who you really are. Life’s problems have a way of piling up on you like layers. I want to help you peel back those layers to discover the real you. That is not always easy, and it usually involves becoming vulnerable, but I promise you that it’s worth it in the end.
