Hi! I’m Laura. I'm so glad you're here. I know starting therapy can be a bit overwhelming to many and can take some bravery to get started.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in the state of Texas and I enjoy working with various populations. My experience has been providing individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in a non-profit setting, outpatient and inpatient hospitals, and providing services in a pediatric clinic setting.  My educational background includes an MA in Professional Counseling and a Bachelors in Psychology/Child Development. I have 7 years of experience counseling in the field.

I work with clients of all different backgrounds to help them thrive and find fulfillment in their lives. I specialize in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and Attachment, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, and mindfulness-based therapies. I believe there are many essential aspects of mental health to consider-including mind, body, spirit, and connection to others. I have a passion for helping others along in their mental health journey and can provide my clients a safe space to work through what is holding them back, so they can get to where they want to go! It is important in the therapy process to develop a strong client-therapist relationship in order to create the safe space for my clients for progress to occur. I strive to offer all my clients an opportunity to work through any emotions they're experiencing, develop their own solutions that align with their priorities despite roadblocks, and find resilience. My philosophy is that your circumstances don't define you, but what you do with them does!
