About

I am licensed in Wisconsin with 7 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience providing a variety of mental health services to children, adolescents, and families. I have worked with teenage clients for the majority of my career and I specialize in working with clients ages 13-18. I enjoy helping teenagers and their families work through problems related to life transitions, school, and emotion regulation. I also have experience working with Pride Counseling, including working with members of the LGBTQIA population. I have worked to advocate and validate clients who are looking for support with identities surrounding sexuality, gender identity, gender expression, and coping with transitions.

I completed my undergraduate degree at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I attended University of Wisconsin-Stout and received my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My mission as a counselor is to offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment to help build a trusting relationship with each and every client. I specialize in utilizing a strength-based, solution-focused, person-centered, and collaborative approach to help clients reach their individual goals. I strongly believes in “meeting clients where they are” by approaching each client with individualized treatment and unconditional positive regard. I am experienced in assisting individuals to cope with and learn new skills to manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral problems, and family conflict. Other areas of focus include, but are not limited to: cognitive behavioral therapy, evaluation and assessment services, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, anger management, and nature based approaches to healing. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
