About

I have always felt passionate about helping others. I noticed that acquaintances would share their hopes, dreams, challenges and heartaches with me, including strangers. I love to encourage and assist others in reaching their goals and highest potential. This sparked a desire in me to do it in a professional setting.
I started my education in mental health counseling later in life, changing professions as my passion for this work continued to grow. I graduated from the University of the Southwest in January 2019, obtaining an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and was hired as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the private practice where I completed my practicum and internship. I have helped numerous clients work through depression, anxiety, grief and trauma. I have worked with couples, assisting them to communicate better, encouraging them to be open and vulnerable with each other in order to gain a deeper connection and understanding. I became a licensed mental health counselor in 2021 and started my own practice.

I believe that we are experts in our own lives. But sometimes we get out of balance or become misaligned from our authentic self. During these times, we need assistance to navigate through our life's journey while working through difficult emotions, life-transforming events and challenges we may encounter. I use a client-centered approach and favor cognitive behavioral therapy.

I view the counseling experience as a partnership. I act as a guide, providing tools to assist you become clear and centered to better be able to make choices that are right for you. I utilize a holistic approach, addressing mind, body and spirit, understanding the need for balance for overall well-being. As you take the first step, I meet you where you are in life, providing a non-judgmental, safe space to explore. Together we can work towards achieving your therapy goals.
