About
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. It's not easy to reach out for support and I recognize you have many options for providers.
I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University in 2013. I chose Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) because it seemed natural to me that how we feel, think, and act effect our relationships and those closest to us. As a Connecticut Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am trained to view the individual through the relationship lens. Ultimately, I believe our relationships impact our behaviors, thoughts and feelings and if we change how we interact with those closest to us, we will change how we think, feel and treat ourselves. I also believe in the importance of holistic treatment because a problem in one area of life can create ripples that impact other parts as well. I believe in the importance of empowering each person to make his or her own changes and developing the skills required in order to improve daily life and relationships. I often uses Structural and Strategic models of therapy as well as Solution- Focused Treatment and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help relieve symptoms of anxiety, depression, family conflict, and improve self-esteem to help allow a person to achieve change. My goal for clients is to provide them with tangible skills and resources so when they leave our session, they walk away confident in their ability to move on to their next adventure!
I appreciate the opportunity to work with you and want to support you in reaching your goals.
