About

I am a Clinical Social Worker with over 8 years experience working as a therapist in a mental health setting. I also have extensive experience in crisis response and victim advocacy. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, substance use, marital issues, and parenting and family issues. I have also provided therapy and crisis support to victims of sexual and domestic violence.

My therapy style is warm and engaging, yet direct and honest. I believe that the honesty and connection between therapist and client is the foundation for change to occur. I like to support my clients in being action oriented and completing tasks that will help them reach their goals. My approach combines behavioral therapy elements with dialectical and cognitive behavioral styles. I also utilize strategic and structural interventions when working with families. My approach changes to meet the needs of my clients and I work hard to ensure their needs are met.

I live with my husband and two children, our two Bullmastiffs and Siamese cat. Over the last 10 years, we have fostered homeless dogs to help find them new forever homes. I am involved on several event planning committees for local non profit agencies in my community, with my favorite being an event that funds pre and postnatal services. I love to read, garden, bake, and spend time shopping with my daughter.
