I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas with over 4 years’ experience working in the mental health field as a counselor, mentor, motivator, coach, and facilitator. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, conflict resolutions, life transitions, substance abuse and addictions, spirituality, complicated grief, PTSD, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, ADHD, and many more. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is warm, empathetic, interactive, and integrative. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach is always dictated by the specific needs of each client. I utilize techniques from narrative therapy to externalize negative storylines and emotions that dominate one’s life; while also incorporating CBT, DBT, SFBT, and strategic counseling to challenge negative thinking patterns, identify emotion regulation, and encourage change through each individual’s possessed strengths through forward focus, and dismantling dysfunctional behaviors. I celebrate diversity and honor the uniqueness of each individual and thus provide a safe space to express the genuine needs of the client.
