Lasheima Jefferson, who has been working in the area for over 15 years, holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Mercy College (LMHC, limited permit to practice). Lasheima currently works with children and adults on social interaction, positive thinking, and effective communication skills through emotional and cognitive behavioral therapy. She is experienced in providing team leadership with an in-depth understanding of the cognitive model. She offers hands-on experience with each client, and thrives on helping others make positive changes in their lives. Lasheima helps each client identify their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in gaining a better understanding of themselves. She upholds exceptional interpersonal skills and handles each client interaction with tact and confidentiality. Lasheima specializes in applied behavioral analysis as well as cognitive behavioral therapy. She is available for in office appointments on Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
