Hello! My name is Lasheena, and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Alabama. I believe meeting an individual where they are is a vital part of providing best practice. I have been working in the mental health field for over nine years. I have worked with individuals families/couples, children/adolescents, and teens experiencing various issues, including family/relationships conflict, depression and anxiety, stress-related issues, life transitions, complex trauma/abuse, communication challenges, and many more concerns.

Every person has the skills, abilities, and strengths to overcome and learn to cope with any problem they may be experiencing, with the desire and a little help.

I take a therapeutic approach where I use a combination of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and Kniffley Racial Trauma therapy. In which I'm able to offer a unique perspective on life challenges.
