I am Lashay Dupree, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas with over 20 years of experience. I have worked with varying populations including seniors, veterans, at-risk youth, teen moms, domestic violence, school and workplace bullying and individuals experiencing chronic health conditions as well as substance dependency. I graduated from the University of Houston in 2000 with a bachelor’s in psychology and received my master’s degree in social work in 2017 from the University of New England. As a Clinician, I integrate a holistic approach to treatment acknowledging there are more factors impacting our mental health than just a diagnosis and the solutions is not always found in the form of a ‘pill’. I come prepared to treat the whole person not just the presenting diagnosis. You are the expert of your mental, physical and spiritual health and you are totally in charge of how we approach treatment. My training affords me an opportunity to utilize a multitude of treatment models and tools to help you along this journey. In a collaborative effort, we will establish a treatment plan to your specification and approach each goal according to your self-guided timeframe and priority. Yes, some sessions will be tougher than others, but you are the expert of your own healing, and I am here to support you on this journey to mental well-being. During the process we will make some difficult decisions, execute some behavioral changes, and may even shed a few tears on our quest to ensure you are ready to face this world and the people in your environment with peace, serenity and grace.
