As a therapist and to increase the likelihood that therapy is effective, I recognize the importance of making sure a therapist is the right fit for a client and the issues that they are trying to address and work through. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in women's mental health working with women 18 yrs. and older. I believe every woman is unique! I believe in the power of transformation and restoration if one is willing to do the work. As women, we go through different phases of life and each phase may bring challenges that impact our mental and emotional well-being. Therefore, as a therapist specializing in women's mental health, my approach is holistic, acknowledging ALL the areas of the client's life that are impacting her mental and emotional well-being. My approach is to work towards the total woman (if so desired and as needed), one area at a time if necessary if it is contributing to her mental health challenges. My passion for working with women is to help my clients identify obstacles to her mental and emotional well-being and issues she may feel has been and continues to ""hold her hostage"" in her own life thus interfering with her day to day functioning. One of my sincerest desires as a therapist is to see my clients transform into the best version of herself according to her standards, not the standards of society! I am passionate about motivating and empowering women to embrace who they are, celebrating their strengths and uniqueness, and hopefully, simultaneously giving each client a fresh perspective on her life despite the obstacles and challenges she may face. Despite whatever mental and emotional challenges my clients face, whether it is anxiety depression, or adjusting to life transitions, I believe if they do the work, they can live a successful, productive life while being mentally and emotionally stable.
