About

Are you finding yourself “stuck” in your life, whether that be personally, professionally, or in your friendships and/or relationships? Perhaps you are struggling with the loss of a job, divorce or death of a loved one? Maybe you are overwhelmed with stress or you simply want to deepen your understanding of yourself and/or the world around you? If you answered yes to any of the above, you may greatly benefit from beginning your counseling with me.

My name is Lacey. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas and it is an honor and a privilege to provide an unbiased space of comfort and support for those in need. I can be seen as a partner in one’s journey to self discovery, with the goal of enabling a more meaningful life with more fulfilling interactions with others.

I received my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College in 2006 followed by a one year certificate from the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis. I became licensed to practice counseling in the state of Texas in 2010. And later went on to get my yoga teacher certification because I believe in the benefits of improving the mind-body connection and the importance of whole health and preventative care.

I have a diverse clinical background; I have worked with college students at the University of Texas counseling center, at an addictions center, an eating disorder clinic, and at several community mental health clinics with individuals struggling with chronic mental health issues. I currently provide short and long term therapy for individuals with many of the above issues as well as for more general relational or phase of life concerns.

The therapeutic relationship is a crucial component of successful therapy. I believe that each person was created differently (for good reason!) and it is important to honor yourself by being honest about what it is that you need out of this process. My intentions are to tailer my treatment to each client's clinical needs, but there will be times I am simply not the right fit. I encourage open dialogue about how the process is going for you.

I generally see clients Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. I take my last client at 3pm and I do work over the lunch hour. Please note I only provide therapy through Find A Therapist via live video. I hope this works for you too! The sessions will last 45 minutes. I only utilize the Find A Therapist messenger forum to set up new appointments and to coordinate logistical issues with existing clients.

I hope to meet you soon!
