About Labrini Gilpin, LPCC, CCM: Mrs. Gilpin is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who resides and practices in the state of California (LPCC4154). Mrs. Gilpin received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology. Labrini attended Roger Williams University in Rhode Island and later moved to California in 2017, where she became licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Certified Case Manager (CCM). Labrini tends to utilize different modalities based on the client's needs and experiences. She has collectively utilized acceptance and commitment therapy, solution focused therapy, supportive psychotherapy, person centered therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, client centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness/meditation. Labrini often uses a strength based approach to assist the patient in harnessing the power within them to make difficult decisions and make the changes that will help the client reach his or her goals. Depending on the patient's style and preferences, Labrini may also adopt a more existential and spiritual flavor to her sessions with clients. In 2020, Labrini and her husband adopted two rescues who are now permanent members of the family: Popeye and Olive Oil. In 2022, her first child was born. When she is not chasing after these puppies or her energetic toddler, in her free time Mrs. Gilpin likes to engage in activities that restore her mind, body, and soul whether that be through exercise, streaming shows, meditation, writing, listening to music, reading, or spending time with family and friends.
