When there is change, there is most likely discomfort. It can be scary, even painful to change but there can come great rewards. I know this from a personal and professional level. I am here to help walk with you through the process of change with the hopes for you to experience the reward. I am a licensed mental health counselor with 10 years of experience working with clients. I have worked with adults and adolescents with co-occurring disorders including primary issues of both mental health and substance use. I have worked with those with severe and persistent mental illness in community mental health and treatment settings along with individuals and their family members struggling with addiction and its long-term effects. I have been in a plethora of clinical settings including outpatient, residential, and inpatient levels of care providing both individual and group therapeutic services. My approach to working with clients includes utilizing person-centered, existential, and cognitive behavioral therapies while integrating and encouraging client-directed change. Like I said, change can be uncomfortable, but let's take the first step together to face that discomfort in order for you to live out the reward.
