Hi! My name is Kristy Smith and I have been a practicing therapist for 6 years now. I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, a local mental health agency, day treatment, and the hospital including the emergency room and inpatient psychiatric care. I have experience with ages 4 through the elderly. I enjoy working with others to help them achieve their goals while meeting them where they are. I typically use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivation Interviewing. I work hard to meet my clients where they are and support them with a variety of challenges that can come up including daily stresses of life, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, parent-child conflict, anger management and addiction. I look forward to working with you on goals that are achievable and meaningful to you!
