With kindness, attention and experience as my guide, we will work to develop greater compassion for yourself and the context of your struggles. This will enable you to work more skillfully to change what you can and stop trying to change what you can't. There is nothing you could say that would convince me that you are not deserving of loving attention. What is your approach to therapy? We will practice a comfortable, practical kind of therapy with the goal of helping you develop insight into yourself and your life. I have worked in hospice and home healthcare for many years, supporting people at the most stressful moments of their lives. I have worked in community mental health, hospital and school settings. I work with people of all categories and identities, and try to help create a more equitable, just world in my personal and professional lives. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? You should expect to come away from our sessions feeling that you were understood and accepted. You should feel that you have gained a new perspective on whatever you brought into the session and are feeling more curious, brave, or resilient.
