About

I am a licensed professional counselor with over 13 years of experience working as a mental health professional. I have had experience with working with people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds on a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, personality disorders, substance addiction, identity problems, self-esteem problems, intellectual disabilities and ADHD (to name a few). I also have helped many people who have experienced physical and emotional trauma. Moreover, I am a School Psychologist. Throughout my 13 years of experience, I have worked several different jobs in the mental health field.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and person centered techniques. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I will act as and genuinely will be a compassionate facilitator, will listen without judgment, and will acknowledge your experience without moving the conversation in another direction. I will be there to encourage and support you and to guide the therapeutic process without interrupting or interfering with the process of self-discovery.

I am looking forward to getting to know you. I want you to know that therapy is not a quick fix to things, it is a journey. You will have to be patient with yourself through the process. I will be patient, as well. I would like for you to know that I will not ever judge you and will always provide a listening ear to whatever thoughts and feelings that you are experiencing in your life.
