About
Sometimes we need to be reminded that struggling does not mean that we are weak, broken, or unworthy- it just means that we could use some extra help. It helps to connect with someone who knows that your story is worth listening to. I want your story to be heard and valued without judgment. By providing a non-judgmental environment, I help people develop compassion for how their past and current experiences have impacted them and explore new ways of being, thinking, and feeling. I believe that it is the strength of the therapeutic relationship and the goals you create together which builds meaningful change.
I tailor my approach to each individual’s strengths and incorporate CBT, interpersonal, and person-centered techniques. I aim to help individuals work towards self-awareness, self-acceptance, healthy emotional expression, and increased connection and meaning in their lives.
I completed my Masters degree from Western Michigan University and am currently at the end of my doctoral training, also at WMU. My degree is in Counseling Psychology, which emphasizes a holistic and multicultural approach to therapy.
