About

I remember the first time I went to therapy so vividly. Sweaty palms, stomach ache, pounding heart--- the works. It's not easy to get yourself through that door; or in this case, to send that text or turn on that computer screen. This world has the uncanny ability of feeling far too connected and completely disconnected at the same time. So where do we go from here? How do we stay grounded in a groundless time? I personally believe that therapy has a way of tethering us back to earth through the power of real and authentic communication, connection and unconditional positive regard.

My job as your therapist will be to help you untangle your thoughts, understand patterns of behavior and have a better sense of who you truly are and who you hope to be. I specialize in working with clients during periods of grief, transition or taking the leap into understanding trauma. Modalities I use in my practice include: parts-work, play therapy (not just for kids!), Gestalt therapy, Existential therapy, CBT and family-systems approaches amongst others.

I have worked as a Care Manager for Medicaid for the last two years, helping kids, adults and their families navigate what can only be described as an overwhelming mental health care system here in Colorado. Prior to that, my work was focused on grief and hospice where I found a true calling to work with the dying and bereaved. I earned my Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University.
