Kristi Cappaert is a Licensed Clincial Social Worker in Illinois. Kristi gradulated from the University of Iowa with a Masters in Social Work. Kristi has 8 years of counseling experience working with individuals, couples and families with a wide range of concerns. Kristi’s main focuses are depression, anxiety, marital, life balance, job stress, and grief. Kristi has worked with different populations from children through older adults. Kristi utilizes many different treatment approaches such as Solution Focused Therapy, Cognititive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Motiviational Interviewing, Dialectial Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered and Mindfulness. Kristi works to emplower you to work towards the life you want. Deciding to start therapy can be very scary and Kristi looks forward to creating a safe space for every client, guiding you through your journey to gain insight to your behaviors, beliefs and automatic thoughts.
