Hello! Welcome to the Find A Therapist Community. My name is Kristen Schultz Tassiello, and I am a licensed clinical social worker, LCSW. I have more than 20 years experience working with adolescents and adults in a variety of mental health and educational settings. I believe that beginning therapy is a courageous endeavor, and I utilize a thoughtful, empathetic, and empowering approach to help clients uncover their strengths and resources to feel more connected to others. I offer trauma-informed, empowerment based treatment for clients struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, mood disorders, grief and loss, and life transitions. My clinical approach is psychodynamic and insight oriented.
I have a Masters of Social Work degree from Columbia University, and maintain my clinical social work licensure in the State of Connecticut. I am also trained in the Mindfulness-Based stress reduction technique at Yale University.
