“Hello, I’m Kristen Owens, a dedicated licensed clinical social worker based in Virginia. With over 12 years of experience in the social work field, my journey has been shaped by a deep passion for helping individuals across all ages and backgrounds, including a special calling to support geriatrics and the aging population.

I also have a genuine enthusiasm for working with diverse populations and ages, as I believe each person’s journey is unique. My approach to therapy combines the power of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. These frameworks allow me to help clients navigate their challenges by addressing thought patterns, finding effective solutions, and fostering positive change. Guided by empathy, I’m committed to meeting clients where they are on their unique journeys, ensuring that we work collaboratively towards achieving their goals.

From adults to children and every stage in between, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals from all walks of life, tailoring my approach to suit their distinct circumstances. My experience encompasses working with a range of diagnoses, including anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and more. This breadth of experience allows me to provide comprehensive care that addresses the unique needs of each individual.

Outside of my professional work, I have a zest for traveling and enjoy exploring new places. Spending quality time with my family and friends is essential to me, as it reminds me of the importance of connections and the beauty of shared experiences.
