I am licensed in North Carolina with 7 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with coping with addictions & motivation, grief and loss, self esteem, and confidence. I worked in a female Christian based residential substance use program for 3 years as a counselor and in the same setting with male populations as a counselor for two years. I have utilized faith and Christianity as a way to help clients find strength and hope. I have also worked in a private non-religious based practice setting seeing men and women struggling with addiction, life changes, relationship issues, self esteem, anxiety and depression. I have also worked with children and teens with behavioral issues in a private secular setting. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I am open to utilizing faith as a way to bring about change however I also provide secular counseling. I am willing to use a theoretical frame work that is specific to each clients needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
