I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona with a focus on family and personal relationships. Human beings need to connect with others - we're social creatures. Sometimes, whether due to substance abuse, mood disorders, family dynamics, or unrealistic role expectations, people struggle to feel the fulfillment and connection they desire in their relationships with others. I partner with my clients to help them create the life of meaning and purpose as they want it to be.
I utilize multiple evidence based modalities, and customize therapy to meet the clients' strengths and needs. It's not unusual for a session to include principles or interventions associated with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Method, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.
I spend much of my time outside of work in day to day tasks - there's a lot of dust in the desert! However, when I do have free time, I enjoy reading, road trips with my husband, and laughing.
