Hello and thank you for considering me to assist you on your self care journey. My name is Kristen, and I am a licensed professional counselor in Michigan with advanced alcohol and drug counselor certification. I graduated from Western Michigan University with a Masters degree in Counseling/Rehabilitation Counseling and have over 10 years experience working with addictions, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, career adjustments along with dual diagnosis co-occurring disorders. I enjoy working with clients with a wide range of concerns. I have helped those who have experienced complex trauma process those traumatic moments and learn to feel at peace and present in their moments .

My counseling style is warm, energetic and interactive. Sensitivity and compassion are key to my counseling approach. I also offer Christian counseling service to those who feel a desire to include a spiritual foundation to their treatment services . I don't believe in stigmatizing labels and hope to help people feel empowered to make change. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychoeducational and solution focused therapy and I am trained in EMDR. We will customize your treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
