I am a LICSW with 13+ years experience in Clinical Psychotherapy. I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from Walla Walla University, and graduated with Honors in 2009.
LICWS's such as myself, help individuals solve and cope with problems in their everyday lives, diagnose and treat mental, behavioral, and emotional problems. I view the counseling process as an alliance between the individual and therapist and considers the clients as the experts of their lives. I approach therapy from a strengths perspective that focuses on the the uniqueness of each individual. I believe in the importance of finding space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Within the structure of the therapeutic relationship, individuals can access their inner strengths and promote change into their daily life.
My therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, DBT, Psychoeducation, behavior modification, Problem Solving Therapy, and mindfulness and relaxation.
