Trauma is sometimes a part of our past and/or present, and life stressors are constant. Past and/or present trauma can affect our everyday living and the way we cope with life. Our coping skills may be limited due to traumatic events in our lives, and our support system may not be as strong as we would like. I can help guide your mental health journey and together we can learn how to manage trauma related symptoms and challenges life throws at you.

In 2009, I graduated from the University of Toledo with a Masters Degree in Social Work. Now, as a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Supervisory Designation (LISW-S), I have been working primarily with adults struggling with substance abuse disorders, depression, PTSD, anxiety, and bipolar disorders. Prior to private practice, I was the Director of Clinical Services at a free-standing psychiatric hospital in Maumee, OH. This addressed patients in the detoxification and rehabilitation stages of alcoholism and addiction as well as mental health crisis stabilization. I was also the Director of Clinical Services at an outpatient facility in Toledo, OH, which focused on adults and families dealing with struggles in life such as homelessness, job loss, grief, substance use, domestic violence, financial crisis, marital issues, and relationship concerns.

I focus on adults and utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help my clients become aware of negative thoughts in an effort to view challenging situations more clearly and respond to life's challenges more efficiently. I will work toward a trusting relationship with you and I feel that trust and empowerment are key elements in a successful therapeutic process.
