Hello! My name is Kim Accurso and I am a State of Wyoming Licensed Professional Counselor with 23 years of experience working primarily with children and youth, parents/caregivers, and families who are struggling with a variety of issues, such as behavioral challenges, attention issues, social-emotional struggles, anxiety, anger management, emotional regulation, parenting challenges and relationship issues. I have experience providing Individualized Education Plan (IEP) services and often take a strengths-based, goal-oriented approach to services, while providing unconditional positive regard. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy often provide a direction for the services I provide, depending of the needs of clients. Providing assistance for those who have been exposed to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), such as trauma, abuse, neglect, poverty, unhealthy relationships, and addictions is another area of focus for me. In addition, I have found mindfulness and breathing/relaxation techniques to be helpful therapeutic strategies. I feel honored to be in a position to help you work toward peace and your best self.
