About
First I'd like to say that I'm glad you're here. Prioritizing mental health is a vulnerable and sometimes uncomfortable process. It is my intention to always create a safe space with choice, encouragement, and warmth.
My approach is trauma-informed pulling from various therapeutic modalities that encourage deeper healing and self-compassion. My four-year experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor has allowed me the honor to support those struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, and relational issues. I provide advocacy, trial prep, and counseling for survivors of abuse, sexual assault, and other violent crimes. My training utilizes EMDR, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and CBT techniques. I also incorporate a strength-based/ solution-focused approach to establish a sense of stability before beginning deeper trauma-focused work or if an individual needs support through specific non-trauma related issues.
I believe in meeting people where they are and that you are the expert of your own story. I have witnessed the incredible power of our own ability to heal, become stronger, and overcome adversity. If at all possible, I love to bring in nature as a supportive companion in the healing process. Throughout the pandemic, I have found integrative and creative resources to offer my clients virtually. Most importantly, I'm honored to be a part of your support system.
