Hello! My name is Kimberly Loftis and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors. I have been in practice as a licensed counselor for three years but have worked in social services for the better part of 20 years.
My experience has primarily been working with children, adolescents and their families. I have been fortunate to help establish both an inpatient and an outpatient program for children and adolescents, however I enjoy working with adults as well. I feel family involvement in all areas of treatment helps not only the client grow but the family unit as well. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques though each treatment plan is individually tailored to meet the needs of each client. I use a client-centered approach in all treatment modalities as I feel each client is an expert on their own life experiences.
We all experience times in our lives during which we can benefit from having some extra support and guidance. Life changes and everyday stressors can lead to multiple emotional difficulties. I look forward to working with individuals and families to provide support when needed and help guide each client to their own solutions to bring peace to their lives.
