Hello and thank you for stopping by! My name is Kimberly and I am an independently licensed counselor in Arizona. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology (mental health track) with a double minor in Women's Studies and Sociology. I then completed my masters degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling. I completed two years with my associate counseling licensure and a year ago I received my independent counseling licensure. If you feel like this is a good fit please feel free to go ahead and schedule yourself in one of my available open slots. I prefer live video sessions whenever possible and I typically check messages on here at about 6:30AM and 6:30PM each day.

I am currently only seeing Find A Therapist clients on Sundays. If that does not work for you we can find a provider that has more availability. I am also only licensed in the state of Arizona so if you are out of state (even if you are an Arizona resident) I am not able to complete sessions until you are back in Arizona. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

My professional experience includes over ten years in areas such as outpatient counseling, psychiatric inpatient stabilization, assertive community treatment and crisis stabilization. I have experience in helping clients from all walks of life with difficulties including, but not limited to, stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, motivation, self esteem, confidence and depression.

I consider my approach to one that is eclectic in nature and I consider myself a generalist. I am trained in different modalities but feel most comfortable using Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. My approach is typically goal oriented and focused on problem solving. We will utilize what we think will work best for you which may be a combination of different modalities.

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our sessions and treatment planning to meet your unique and specific needs. I want to make sure your treatment moves in the direction that feels right to you. If you feel that something is not working I want you to feel comfortable talking to me about it so we can make it work for you. Our therapeutic relationship will be one that is collaborative and equal.
