Hello, my name is Kimberly Benedict, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor in the state of Texas. I have been providing psychotherapy for sixteen years. I have provided services in multiple settings with many types of populations. The most rewarding work I have found is working in private practice with people that want to work on themselves. I treat adolescents, adults, and couples. I provide an integrative approach from the backgrounds of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rogerian (Person Centered), Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Adlerian, and Solution Focused. I utilize interventions and techniques to best meet the needs of my clients. My goal is to provide you with a safe, genuine, comfortable environment in which you will flourish and be able to successfully meet your personal goals. My specialties are working with Major Depressive Disorder and Anxiety Disorders, this includes self-harm and other unhealthy coping skills. I also have extensive experience working with clients on the High Functioning end of the Autism Spectrum in regards to emotional regulation and social skills. I enjoy working with couples utilizing the Gottman strategies and materials and always welcome the intensity of a good couples session. I truly care about my client's needs and wants. You, the client will always take the lead in how your therapy flows and I will be the rutter guiding the way.
