Hello and welcome! My name is Kim M. Barry and I am pleased that you are considering us working together. I am a Licensed Social Worker in the State of MD and DC with over 20 years of experience. I am able to work with clients experiencing a wide range of challenges such as depression, PTSD, anxiety, trauma, abuse, domestic violence, anger, and grief and loss. I also am able to counsel individuals with addictions and persons coping with general life changes and transitions.

My Counseling style focuses on building trust, an authentic therapeutic relationship for you to explore life challenges and relationships. My approach is strengths-based combined with Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused Therapy. I will provide you with the tools that you will be able to apply to other issues in the future. Most of all you will be working on the issues that are most important to you.
