I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with over nine year’s experience providing psychotherapy in a diverse range of settings. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, stress, depression, bipolar, PTSD, trauma, self-esteem, relationship problems, codependency, anger, communication skills, addiction and family members impacted by addiction. I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy inclusive of the evidence based practices of CBT and DBT. I utilize EMDR and/or the narrative exposure approach when working with trauma. I will work with you to develop a collaborative working relationship to focus on areas you want to change and to help find solutions within yourself and your relationships while overcoming obstacles so you can start to feel better. My style of therapy has been described as a more active direct approach while you feel accepted, understood, and listened to. Its important therapy is client centered which is different for every client and includes approaches such as talk therapy, skill building/strengthening, feedback, coaching, problem solving, emotion regulation, mindfulness and insight based therapy. My goal is to work to change behavioral, emotional, thinking and interpersonal patterns associated with problems in living, and to promote positive experiences.
