About
My name is Kgothatso, pronounced Ko-tat-so, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida and Michigan. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors in Psychology and I furthered my education and received a Masters in Social Work there too. GO KNIGHTS!
As an African American therapist, I combine experience, education, creativity, with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling in order to bring the best outcomes and provide healing to individuals, marriages, and families.
I have a broad and unique base of experience counseling teens and adults. These have included providing counseling in a psychiatric hospital, inpatient and hospital settings, schools, jails, and non-profit organizations.
Are you afraid that you that you may have a mental health crisis at any moment? Have you been afraid to ask for help because you’re scared of being judged? I create a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which clients can be supported in their efforts to change and grow as well as become reconnected to their strengths and dreams. I will teach you the tools.
Therapy is not supposed to be intimidating, it is a collaborative effort. If you’re looking for someone to help you navigate through your anxiety, depression, trauma, or life crisis, I’m available to help.
BONUS: Are you a loving mom with a child under two, navigating the beautiful yet challenging journey of motherhood? I understand that the postpartum period can be overwhelming, leaving you feeling exhausted, emotional, and unsure of how to balance it all. That's why I've designed a unique and transformative program tailored just for you!
I look forward to meeting with you!
