About

I am a licensed therapist (LPC) working out of Portland, Oregon. I have been practicing therapy for over eight years and have worked with a broad range of people, ranging from traditional outpatient therapy, residential treatment as well as providing services to those suffering from addiction, depression, dealing with change, anxiety and many others. I graduated with my master's degree from Lewis and Clark college in 2012 and have been practicing since then. Prior to that I was an alcohol and drug counselor several years. I have been in the social work field as a professional and student for the last fifteen years and I am passionate about helping others.

My approach to therapy is very person centered. I believe that the most important part of therapy is finding a therapist you get along with! I focus on forming a therapeutic relationship with the people I work with first and through that explore different approaches to therapy that fit with the specific person. I am rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and utilize a lot of interpersonal approaches as well as Motivational Interviewing. Overall I am committed to the work you need to do, your growth and getting you to where you want to be next.
