About

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. My approach is based in both cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy. My counseling style is open and compassionate allowing clients to feel comfortable sharing the areas of their life that they may be struggling with. I believe that therapy should be the one place you can come to and be 100% yourself without embarrassment or fear of judgement. I feel that everyone has the ability to reach their full potential and that they just need support, empathy, and guidance to get there.

I studied at James Madison University where I earned my Bachelors degree in psychology and then went on to Argosy University and earned my Masters in Mental Health Counseling. My undergrad work consisted primarily with children and families, as well as individuals involved in the legal system. My graduate, and current work is with adults with substance dependence and co-occurring disorders. A majority of my focus has been with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, codependency, guilt and shame, and self-esteem issues.
