About
Are you struggling with sadness?
Unhappy in your current life situation?
Do you feel stuck?
The daily stresses of life can build until we feel completely overwhelmed with life. Sometimes we feel lost, alone, or depressed; we may even feel confused and hopeless about the future. These feelings are very ‘normal,’ yet most of us feel as if we are falling apart. Psychotherapy can help you work through problems in relationships, at work, or with feelings of unhappiness or not being good enough. If you find yourself struggling with sadness or feeling stuck, we can work together to get you moving in your best direction.
I’m excited to offer comprehensive mental health services in Montana, working with adults in short and long-term psychotherapy and counseling. I received my master’s degree from Phillips Graduate Institute in Los Angeles, CA. After practicing in the LA area for over 10 years, I relocated to Montana in 2014 to raise my children in Big Sky Country. Currently, in private practice in Bozeman, I work with adults, children, adolescents, and families, helping them manage many issues through their time of growth. I also offer support to parents as they work their way through the many challenges of parenthood (including issues related to blended/stepfamilies and families with children who were adopted).
Through the years, I’ve helped adults heal unresolved wounds from childhood, achieve greater self-awareness and self-esteem, improve relationships with partners, friends, and co-workers, increase their ability to make life-enhancing choices, and improve everyday life issues.
In addition, I specialize in the field of trauma and grief. A member of ISST-D, ISTSS, and AAETS (International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, The International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, and the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress), I have received additional training and attended many conferences in the areas of trauma and stress. Striving to offer the most complete help I can, I’ve continued my education and training, keeping up on current research and information so that you can have more options that help you move towards your goals. Currently, I am competing a 3 year training program in Somatic Experiencing (SE) for work with trauma.
I have dedicated myself to assisting others through the difficult times in their lives, as I know from my own personal experiences that life can be downright hard at times. (And sometimes, the word ‘hard’ doesn’t even cover it!) Believing that we all have the power and ability to make positive changes in our lives to grow and learn, I know sometimes we just need help finding our strengths to do so. Together we'll explore your goals, engage your personal potential, and find your own unique solutions to the challenges you face. We’ll discover ways for you to go beyond just surviving and into thriving! We all have our own unique story and experiences; it's a privilege when individuals choose to share their stories with me.
No one needs to walk this journey alone. Let me help facilitate change using your inner resources, while we work collaboratively in a safe and supportive environment. We might work together to heal old wounds left over from childhood or explore what it is that you want or need in your life now, and how to make that happen.
It can take courage to admit that we sometimes need help, but nobody does everything on their own.
Now that you've taken the first step by reading this, let's talk and see how I might be able to help get you moving in your ‘right’ direction. Let's discover your own best ways of being.
